Government Rebates - Gas Boosted Solar Hot Water

The New Zealand Energy Efficiency Conservation Authority (EECA) is currently offering $1000 grants for the installation of solar hot water heaters, included gas boosted units.  This is part of the EECA EnergywiseTM program.

There are two options for funding:

  • A grant of $1000 towards the cost of a system, or
  • A contribution of $1000 towards the cost of a loan to pay for a solar water heating system
